Find and Install an App
Search the App Store by category or keyword, evaluate an app, and install. Walk-through with the evaluation checklist.
On this page
The Tanqory App Store is where you find third-party apps to install on your store. This article walks through finding the right app + the evaluation checklist before clicking Install. App permissions matter; treat install decisions seriously.
You'll work at /admin/store/{storeId}/apps/store (or the App Store entry point under Apps).
Evaluation checklist
Before installing any app, check:
| Signal | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Review score + count | High-volume + 4+ stars = reliable |
| Install count | More installs = more vetting |
| Vendor reputation | Look at vendor's other apps + tenure |
| Pricing model | One-time / monthly / usage-based: match to your budget |
| Permissions requested | What data the app accesses |
| Last updated | Recent = active maintenance; old = orphan |
| Support response time | Tested via the app page's contact |
| Tanqory version compatibility | Verify it works with your Tanqory version |
Before you begin
- You are signed in to your Tanqory store admin.
- You have Manage apps permission.
- You know the specific problem you're trying to solve.
Steps
1. Open Apps > App Store
The App Store renders with categories + search.
2. Search or browse by category
Use search (specific app names) or browse (exploring options).
3. Open the app detail page
Click an app to read full description, reviews, screenshots, pricing.
4. Run the evaluation checklist
Go through the matrix above. Skip apps with low review count or no recent updates.
5. Read the permission list
The app's installation flow shows what data + actions it requests. Read carefully:
- "Read products" is fine for most apps.
- "Read customer PII + email" requires trust.
- "Modify orders" requires high trust.
- "Read all data": be very cautious.
6. Click Install
If everything checks out, install. The app guides you through its onboarding.
7. Complete app setup
Each app has its own configuration flow. Follow the vendor's guide.
8. Test in a private browser
Verify the app behaves as expected. Place a test order if relevant.
9. Monitor for issues
Watch page load times, customer-service tickets, and analytics for any regression.
Verify the result
- App appears in Installed apps.
- Permissions granted match what you reviewed.
- Configuration completed.
- Test workflow passes.
- No regressions observed.
