Manage Installed Apps
View, configure, audit, and uninstall apps. The Apps page is the canonical surface for ongoing app management: review monthly for security + cost.
On this page
The Installed Apps view lists every app currently active on your store. Use it for ongoing management: adjusting configuration, auditing permissions, uninstalling unused apps. Apps accumulate; quarterly audit prevents app sprawl + reduces attack surface.
You'll work at /admin/store/{storeId}/apps.
What you can do per app
| Action | When to use |
|---|---|
| Open | Visit the app's settings / dashboard |
| Permissions review | See what data the app accesses |
| Pricing change | Move tier; switch billing cycle |
| Update | Apply vendor's update |
| Uninstall | Remove the app |
Before you begin
- You are signed in to your Tanqory store admin.
- You have Manage apps permission.
- (Recommended) you have a quarterly app-audit cadence.
Steps
1. Open Apps
2. Review the list
Each row shows app name + vendor + status + last-used timestamp (if available).
3. Filter / search if needed
Useful for large installed lists.
4. Click an app to open its admin / settings
The app's own admin opens. Some open in-Tanqory; some open in a new tab.
5. Review permissions
For each app, check what data + actions it has access to. Apps may add permissions over time via updates.
6. Update an app
If the vendor has released an update, Tanqory may show an Update button. Read changelog before updating.
7. Uninstall unused apps
Apps you no longer use:
- Click Uninstall.
- Confirm.
- (Optional) data cleanup: some apps offer to clean their data on uninstall; some leave it behind.
8. Quarterly audit cadence
Set a recurring calendar reminder. Every quarter:
- Open Apps.
- Review every installed app: still used? still needed?
- Uninstall unused.
- Review permissions for surviving apps.
- Update apps with pending updates.
Verify the result
- Installed app list shows current state.
- Permissions per app visible.
- Uninstalled apps removed from list.
- (Some apps) their data cleared per their cleanup option.
Best practices
- Quarterly app audit. Prevents sprawl.
- Uninstall unused apps. Pay only for what you use.
- Review permissions on every update.
- Document app rationale so audits are quick.
- Watch for unused apps still being billed: biggest waste.
Common mistakes
- No audit cadence: sprawl.
- Granting new permissions on update without reading changelog.
- Uninstalling but not canceling billing at vendor: still charged.
- Not testing after major Tanqory updates: apps may regress.
- Too many apps per category: competing functionality.
If something goes wrong
- App uninstall fails: clear browser cache; retry. If persistent, contact vendor or support.
- Data lingers after uninstall: request vendor data deletion (GDPR / PDPA right).
- Re-installing a previously-uninstalled app: may or may not restore your config; check vendor docs.
- Permission denied: your role lacks Manage apps.
