Before you begin
- You are signed in to your Tanqory store admin.
- You have Manage marketing permission.
- You have copy + design prepared (or use template defaults as starting point).
Steps
1. Open Marketing > Automations > Templates
2. Browse templates
Each card shows: name, purpose, sample preview.
3. Pick a template
Click Use this template. Tanqory creates a copy in your automations.
4. Customize
Tune:
- Subject lines: biggest CTR driver.
- Copy: match your brand voice.
- Offer: discount amount, exclusivity, urgency.
- Cadence: delay between emails.
- Branching: engagement-based logic.
5. Test
Trigger the automation on your test customer.
6. Activate when ready
The automation runs for matching customers.
7. Iterate
Watch metrics; refine over time.
Verify the result
- Template instantiated as your own automation.
- Customizations saved.
- Test trigger fires.
- Live automation processes matching customers.
Best practices
- Start with template, don't copy verbatim. Customize.
- Subject lines first. Highest leverage.
- Test on yourself + a colleague.
- Compare templates A/B if you have volume.
- Document why you chose specific customizations for future operators.
Common mistakes
- Using template defaults as-is: generic, low conversion.
- Skipping customization: same template at every store ≠ brand differentiation.
- No testing before launch.
- Running same template forever without iteration.
If something goes wrong
- Template doesn't fit your business: build from scratch.
- Customizations lost: verify save completed.
- Permission denied: your role lacks Manage marketing.
