Reading the Sales Chart

Home no longer carries a sales chart. Your sales over time are in Analytics, where cards such as Total sales over time and Gross sales over time plot the trend for a date range.

Home does not show a sales chart. The redesigned Home is an AI assistant box and setup task cards, so to read your sales over time you open Analytics in the sidebar. This page tells you where the sales chart lives and points you to the analytics guides.

Where the sales chart is

Click Analytics in the sidebar to open the analytics dashboard. It shows cards for a date range you choose, including Total sales over time, Gross sales over time, and Orders over time, with a chart that plots the selected metric across the period. Set the date range at the top, then read the trend and the comparison against the period before. Analytics Dashboard covers the dashboard and its controls.

For a fuller sales breakdown, such as sales by product or by channel, open the reports. Sales Report covers them.

Tips

  • Set the date range before you read the chart, since a short range reads very differently from a longer one.
  • Read the comparison next to each figure, not just the total, to see whether sales are rising or falling.
  • Switch the plotted metric, for example to Orders over time, when you want to see order volume rather than value.
