Marketing App Activities
The Marketing app activities section shows the marketing apps connected to your store and the work they have in progress, so you can see what each app is doing and when it was last active without opening every app in turn.
On this page
When you run marketing through connected apps, it helps to see what they are all doing in one place rather than opening each app to check. The Marketing app activities section, on the Marketing overview, does exactly that: it lists your marketing apps alongside the work each has in progress and when it was last active. This gives you a quick read on whether your marketing tools are actually doing something, which is useful both for a daily glance and for spotting an app that has gone quiet.
Before you begin
This section is a status view, so there is little to prepare.
- Go to Marketing in the admin sidebar, then scroll to the bottom of the Overview where this section sits.
- Have at least one marketing app connected, since the section stays empty until one is added.
- If you have none, use Explore apps to add one first.
What the section shows
The section lists each marketing app as a row, with a few columns that summarize its activity.
- App names the marketing app.
- Activities in progress shows what that app is currently working on, such as a draft it is preparing.
- Last activity shows when the app was last active.
An Explore apps action sits alongside the section, which is how you find and add more marketing apps.
How to use it
Use this section as a status check rather than a place to do work. A glance tells you which apps have something in progress and which have not been active recently, and from there you open the app itself to act on anything that needs attention. If you have no marketing apps yet, or want to add one, Explore apps takes you to find them. See Social Marketing Apps for how installing an app works.
Note: Treat this as a dashboard, not a control panel. It tells you what your marketing apps are doing and when they last did it, but the work itself happens inside each app, so an activity that needs your attention is your cue to open that app.
Verify the result
- The section lists each connected marketing app with its activity.
- Activities in progress reflects what an app is currently working on.
- Last activity shows a recent date for apps that are actively running.
Best practices
- Glance at this section regularly, so an app that has stopped working is noticed early.
- Open the app itself to act on anything shown here, since this section is a summary rather than a place to make changes.
- Keep only the marketing apps you use, so the list stays a meaningful status view rather than clutter.
