Export the Discount List
To keep a record of every discount in your store, export the whole list to a CSV file. In the Export dialog choose All discounts as the scope so the file is not limited to the current page, pick a format, and download. For every export option and the dialog itself, see the full export guide.

When you want a record of your whole discount list, for example for your own files, a review, or a handover to someone who does not use the admin, export it to a CSV file. The file is a snapshot of the discounts as they are at that moment, which you can keep or open in a spreadsheet. Because it is only a copy, exporting does not change any discount in the store, so it is safe to do at any time.
The export uses the same Export dialog as any discount export, so the steps are the same. The one choice that matters for a full list is the scope: the dialog can export only the current page or every discount, and for a complete record you want every discount. Export Discounts to CSV has all of the options, the format choices, and the dialog image.
Before you begin
- Your role includes Edit discounts.
- You know whether you want the whole list or only part of it, since the scope is the key choice.
- Open Discounts in the admin sidebar, where Export sits in the page header.
Steps
1. Open the Export dialog
Open Discounts and click Export in the page header. The Export discounts dialog opens, where the scope and format are set before anything downloads. See Export Discounts to CSV.
2. Choose All discounts
Under Export, choose All discounts rather than the current page. This is what makes the file a complete list, because the current page option only includes the discounts visible on the page you are on, while All discounts covers every discount in the store.
3. Pick a format and download
Under Export as, choose a format, then click Export discounts to download the CSV. Check the export summary first, since it shows the item count and format, so you can confirm the file will contain the full list before it downloads.
Verify the result
- A CSV file downloads containing every discount, not just the current page.
- The export summary shows an item count that matches your full list before you download.
- The discounts in the store are unchanged, since the export only made a copy.
Best practices
- Choose All discounts for a complete snapshot, so the file is not limited to the page you happened to be on.
- Keep periodic exports if you want a record of how your discounts change over time, since each export is a snapshot of that moment.
- Open the file in a spreadsheet when you want to sort or filter the list outside the admin.
Common mistakes
- Leaving the scope on Current page, so the file is missing every discount on the other pages of the list.
- Assuming the export updates as discounts change, when it is a fixed snapshot and does not update after it is downloaded.
If something goes wrong
- The file has fewer discounts than expected. Check that the scope was set to All discounts rather than the current page.
- You cannot start an export. Your role may not have permission to manage discounts.
