The Customers Page
The Customers page carries two subjects that people come looking for separately, the page around the table and the table itself, and each has a detailed article of its own. This page is the signpost between them: one table that matches what you came to do against the article that covers it.
On this page
The Customers page lists everyone who has an account with your store or has bought from it. It is one screen, but it carries two subjects that people come looking for separately: the page around the table, and the table itself.
The split between the two is worth understanding before you pick, because it decides which article answers your question.
The page is everything that decides which customers you are looking at. That covers narrowing the list to a group, jumping to one person, saving a list you come back to, and acting on several at once. Reach for it when the list in front of you holds the wrong people, too many of them, or too few.
The table is everything that decides what you see about each of them: which of the twenty columns are showing, the order they sit in, and the sort. Reach for it when the right customers are on screen but the fact you came for is not.
A third thing is neither: anything that belongs to one customer rather than to the list, such as their orders, notes or store credit. That is on the customer's own record, which opens when you select their row.
