Add Regions to a Market
Adding regions to a market sets which countries the market applies to, so buyers in those places get that market's settings. You do it from the market's Includes control, which opens the Market conditions dialog, where you search for and select the regions to include. The regions you add take on the market's currency, catalog, and other settings.

Adding regions to a market is how you decide which countries that market covers. A market is a group of one or more regions that share the same settings, such as currency and catalog, so adding a region means buyers there are served by that market. This is what lets you sell across borders with settings tuned to each place. You add regions from a market's own page, using the Includes control, which opens the Market conditions dialog where you choose the regions.
What you are choosing
The Market conditions dialog is where a market's regions are set. It lists the regions you can include, with a search box and a way to select them all, so you can build the market from a single country or many at once.
| Part | What it is |
|---|---|
| Includes | What the market is defined by, set to Regions |
| Search regions | Find a region by name instead of scrolling the full list |
| Select all | Add every listed region at once |
| Region checkboxes | Tick each region you want the market to include |
| Selected | Filter the list down to only the regions already chosen |
Before you begin
- In your admin, select Markets in the left navigation, then select a market to open its page.
- You know which regions you want this market to cover.
Steps
1. Open the market and edit its regions
Open Markets from the left navigation. The Markets page lists every market alongside the regions each one includes. Select the market you want to add regions to (1) to open its page.
On the market's page, the Includes row lists the regions the market currently covers. Select the edit control (1) on that row to open the Market conditions dialog.
2. Choose the regions and save
In the Market conditions dialog, Includes shows Regions, so the market is defined by the countries you add. Build it up from the list:
- Find a region. Type its name in the Search regions box (1), or scroll the list. To add every region at once, use Select all.
- Tick each region you want, then open the Selected chip (2) to filter the list down to just your picks so you can check them.
- Confirm the set. Here the market covers a Europe and Americas mix: France and Germany, plus the United States and Canada (3).
When the regions are right, select Done (4) to apply them, or Cancel to leave the market unchanged. The market then covers those regions, and buyers there are served by this market and its settings.
Back on the market's page, the Includes row lists the regions the market now covers (1). A market can cover many regions at once, so this is also where you confirm the full set is what you expect.
Best practices
- Group regions that share settings. Put regions that should use the same currency and catalog in one market.
- Use search for a long list. Type the region name rather than scrolling all of them.
- Add only what you serve. Include the regions you actually sell to, so buyers get the right market.
- Review after adding. Check the market's settings so the new regions inherit what you expect.
If something goes wrong
- A region is missing from the list. Use the Search regions box, since the full list is long.
- A region you added is not behaving as expected. Open the market and check its settings, so you can see what the added regions inherit.
- You added the wrong region. Open the market conditions again, untick it, and select Done.
- You cannot edit the regions. Your role may not allow managing markets. Ask an owner or admin.
