Edit Regions in a Market

Editing a market's regions changes which countries it covers, by ticking regions to add and unticking them to remove. You do it in the Market conditions dialog, opened from the market's Includes control, where the regions already in the market are shown ticked. A search box helps you find a region quickly in the long list.

Editing a market's regions is how you change which countries a market covers as your business changes. Rather than starting over, you open the market's regions and tick the ones to add or untick the ones to remove. The regions already in the market are shown ticked, so you can see what the market covers now and adjust it. You edit them in the Market conditions dialog, opened from the market's Includes control.

What you see when editing

When you open a market's regions, the Market conditions dialog shows the same list of regions with the market's current regions ticked. A count tells you how many are selected, and a search box helps you find a region without scrolling the whole list.

Before you begin

  • In your admin, select Markets in the left navigation, then select a market to open its page.
  • You know which regions you want to add to or remove from the market.

Edit a market's regions

In Markets, open the market whose regions you want to change. In the Includes row, select the edit control (1) to open the Market conditions dialog.

In the dialog, Includes shows Regions, and the market's current regions appear ticked, so you can see what it covers before you change anything. Edit the selection from the list:

  • Find a region. Type its name in the Search regions box (1) to narrow the long list.
  • Add a region. Tick one that is unticked, such as United Kingdom or United Arab Emirates.
  • Remove a region. Untick one that is ticked, such as United States (2), the market's current region.
  • Watch the count. The Selected chip and the region count below the list update as you change the selection.

Select Done (3) to apply the changes, or Cancel to leave the regions as they were.

Best practices

  • Check the current selection first. The ticked regions show what the market covers now, so review them before changing.
  • Use search to edit precisely. Find the exact region by name rather than scrolling, so you change the right one.
  • Watch the count. The selected-region count confirms how many regions the market will cover.
  • Remove regions you no longer serve. Untick regions you have stopped selling to, so buyers there are not served by this market.

If something goes wrong

  • You cannot find a region. Use the Search regions box, since the full list of regions is long.
  • You removed the wrong region. Open the dialog again, tick it to add it back, and select Done.
  • Your change did not take effect. Make sure you selected Done rather than Cancel after editing.
  • You cannot edit the regions. Your role may not allow managing markets. Ask an owner or admin.
