Connecting a domain you own is two jobs in two places: you add it in Tanqory, then you point it here from the provider where it is registered. This walks both, and explains why the domain does nothing until the second one is done.
Every store starts with a Tanqory subdomain, already listed here as its primary domain. This covers what the Domains page holds, the two ways to add an address of your own, and the jobs that only become available once you have one, from choosing which domain customers see to removing one you no longer use.
Your primary domain is the single address customers end up on, whichever of your domains they arrive through. This covers what changes when you set one, how to pick between the domains you hold, and why a new store already has a primary before it has bought anything.
Three kinds of address can point at your store: the free Tanqory subdomain it came with, a domain you buy through Tanqory, and one you already own and connect. This explains what each is, what you are responsible for in each case, and which to choose.

The Domain checkout page in full: the auto-renew switch and registration period, the registrant details a domain registration legally requires, what the order summary already includes, and what happens once you hand off to Stripe.
What a domain transfer looks like day by day: what has to be true before you can start, what the form asks, what the five to seven day wait is actually doing, and what changes at the end.
The Domain Transfers page is the one place a transfer request lives while it runs. This covers what the page lists, what its empty state means, and what to do and avoid during the days a transfer is under way.
