A zone cannot quote a price until it has a rate. This covers adding one to a zone: a flat amount or free, or a carrier-quoted price, with conditional pricing that varies the charge by order weight or total.
Shipping zones are how one store charges different delivery prices in different places. This article explains what a zone is, how it connects a shipping profile to its rates, where to find the Shipping zones section, and why a zone left without a rate quietly blocks checkout.
Locations are the places you hold stock and ship orders from, and the rest of the store is built on them. This article covers the Locations page and its plan-limited active count, creating a location and the two toggles that decide what it may do, and the location page itself, where you edit the address, see which delivery methods it offers, bind it to a market, or deactivate it.
The Shipping labels page is where you buy discounted carrier labels for the orders that are ready to fulfill, grouped by destination. You can estimate a cost with the rate calculator before you commit, and track how your recent shipments are performing on delivery speed and tracking coverage. Buying a label handles the postage, barcode, and tracking together, so you skip the trip to a carrier counter and re-typing addresses.
A custom shipping profile lets you set different shipping rates and rules for specific products, instead of the general rates every other product uses. You give it a name for your own reference, add the products it covers, choose the fulfillment locations, and add shipping zones and rates. Products you do not add to a custom profile keep using the General shipping profile.
The General profile is the default every product ships under unless you move it to a custom profile. This explains what it holds, its fulfillment locations, shipping zones and rates, and why a zone left without a rate quietly blocks checkout for customers there.
Connecting your own carrier account so checkout quotes the carrier's live negotiated rates instead of a price you maintain. What changes for the customer, how it differs from the carriers you buy labels from, and the plan it needs.
The steps to add a shipping zone to a profile and keep it current: name it, choose the countries and regions it covers (down to individual provinces), and save, with how to edit or delete a zone afterwards.
Every packing slip your store prints comes from one HTML and CSS template. This article covers what the default slip already prints, the placeholders and logic tags that put each order's own values on it, and how to preview a change against a real order before you save it or put the original back.
Order routing rules decide which location is assigned to fulfill each new order. The rules run in a priority order from top to bottom, you can reorder or delete them, add more from a set of rule types, and revert to the defaults.
The preferred carriers list shows the carriers Tanqory can buy discounted labels from, grouped by destination country. Each carrier shows how many of its service levels are enabled, and you can estimate rates before you buy. Managing which carriers and services are preferred is a higher-plan feature.
What to tell customers about delivery times, shipping costs and international orders, written in an editor that can start from a template, draft one for you, or leave you a blank page. Saving it publishes it to checkout.
Recording an outside partner that stores and ships orders for you, so those orders are handed to it instead of leaving your own locations. What you supply to add one, how to manage it afterwards, and what it changes about fulfillment.
Free shipping is an ordinary rate with its price set to Free, added to a zone like any other. This covers both ways to offer it, on every order or only once an order passes a total you set, and how to choose between them.
Local delivery lets a location deliver orders straight to nearby customers instead of shipping by carrier. You turn it on per location, set the postal codes you cover and what delivery costs, then connect a local delivery app for routing.
Saving the boxes and envelopes you really ship in, so their size and weight price the rate at checkout and fill themselves in when you buy a label. Choosing a default, and keeping the list matching your packaging.
A weight-based rate charges shipping according to how much the order weighs, by giving a rate a weight range it applies to. You set a rate with a Minimum and Maximum weight, so it is offered only when the cart weight falls in that band. Adding several rates with different weight bands and prices builds tiered pricing that scales with weight.
A third-party calculated rate is one your own carrier works out while the customer is checking out, rather than a number you maintain. This article covers the plan gate in front of it, the five providers you can connect and the difference between an aggregator and a direct carrier, the credentials each one asks for, and why the live prices you already see when buying a label are a different thing entirely.
Collection is switched on one location at a time, not once for the store. The ready time you promise, the message the customer gets when the order is waiting, and how the option then appears at checkout.
A saved package is a package size you keep so its dimensions and weight are reused for rate calculation and label buying, instead of being re-measured on every order. You can save your own custom sizes or select a carrier's standard packaging, such as a USPS or UPS package. Setting one as the default means rates and labels use it automatically.
The Delivery customizations section hides, renames and reorders the delivery options customers see at checkout, powered by apps you install from the Tanqory App Store. The options themselves come from the Shipping and delivery settings, which this article also walks through row by row.
To change a shipping profile, you open it and edit its parts on the profile page, where you can rename a custom profile, change its products, fulfillment locations, and shipping zones and rates. A custom profile can also be deleted from its Actions menu. The General profile is edited the same way but cannot be renamed or deleted.
Letting a customer collect an order at your counter instead of posting it. What it costs them, when collection beats delivering or shipping, what they meet at checkout, and where pickup is switched on for each location.
